Do you know those BP commercials telling you they care about their employees, that they’ve cleaned up the spill? Well, here’s a video of a woman who was a one of the thousands of clean-up crew members…

Her body is now degenerating rapidly. She’s lost feeling in her right arm, and severe neurological/nerve damage is starting to cause uncontrollable facial twitching. Her fellow clean-up crew friends are dying. This is heartbreaking and will make you sick to your stomach, but we all need to demand the media and government and BP acknowledge the true horror of this situation. This is your opportunity to use the Internet (and Tumblr) to impact the world. Look at the Middle-East, and think how much more powerful we as Internet-users are in America because of our guaranteed access to these digital tools.

If EVERY person on Tumblr who saw this (yes, you) reblogged and posted it on facebook, it will become a huge, national news story. The mainstream media will have no choice but to make it one. PLEASE. This is not about getting reblogs or followers or hits, this is about our country, our world, and our race. This is a mother who tried to service our entire country by agreeing to clean-up OUR Gulf Coast, and she is now losing her life as a result. If you don’t give a shit about this, you don’t deserve to live in this country, nor call yourself a human.

Please spread this around. Everyone needs to be informed. I know tumblr is on top of that ‘spreading the word’ stuff, so this shouldn’t be too difficult for you all. If a stupid .gif of a cat could reach 40k notes, then it shouldn’t be difficult for a video to help save these dying people reach a number near that, right? Do the right thing guys.

My first day of October was great! It’s Friday and now it’s into the weekend. Although, October started out great, there was this kid who wasn’t excited as I was.

This kid is a freshman and we are friends, and no I’m not a freshie or anything below, but he wasn’t pleased about October. He told me that his little brother’s birthday was this month and I was like okay….? how come that is soo bad? He replied telling me that he died and I was damn sorry… I didn’t know how to cope with that and I know it was wrong of me, but I asked how he died.

His little brother was only ten days old before he died. He was basically premature and had a fragile body. The little baby broke 15 bones because his bones weren’t fully develop. So if you hold him, you might crush him. If he was crush, his bones will break. If the baby moved, his bones will break, too. This baby was going to die in the end, which is sad…

The baby had trouble breathing so he was carefully watched and he had the oxygen can thingy tube thing on his nose and mouth so he would be able to breath. If the thing was unplug from him and he was breathing, he was able to go home. So when he was breathing after they unplugged it, the kid’s mother carried the baby and cried “Thank God.” But not too long when the baby was home, the baby died. 

This only happened 2 years ago and I could see the pain from his eyes and voice…I was abouts to cry when he told me this because it’s too sad…but I didn’t because it’ll make things worst. After that I just changed the subject talking about his brother and sister, and if they were mean to him. He told me they were haha. He was like not to be mean but my little sister can be a bitch!. 

I will have this moment forever locked in my memory…

Today:

I was having the best day of my this week I swear. I was in a happy mood and just felt great.

But after school, it was ruined for a moment of that event.

What happened after school?

Well, after school I walked to the bus stop with my older brother. This kid that I’ve seen before that was getting messed around by some “bad-ass” guys was there. When we got to the bus stop, my brother and I wanted to hide under the shade, but before we could go cover ourselves from the sun, that kid blocked us. He had a bat and I was like wtf because he didn’t had that before whenever I came to the bus stop. Either way, he asked if I got money because I was holding my wallet out so that I could take the bus, but in it there was no money and I was using the RTD bus pass. I told him that I didn’t have any money, but he asked me to show him that I don’t. Again I was like wtf, but I didn’t want to cause any trouble and showed him my emptied wallet and walked off. We hid under the shadows of the trees. I looked at the kid as if he was one of the drug addic people. He was just walking around holding a bat. 

Then these same kids who messed around with the kid with the bat came to the bus stop. They noticed that he had the bad and made some comments towards him as they passed him. They insulted and made fun of him about the bat and how he was going to use it against them. I thought he had the bat to hit them, but he didn’t. Although, he stayed really close to him so I watched. More people started to come to the bus stop and I just assume that he was scared to do anything and just using it as protection, but when this kid that rides the same bus that I do came. The kid with the bat was on the move. I was concern if he was going to just walk over to talk to him or use the bat, but I didn’t move to go attack him to find out so I stayed back. The kid walked over to the other kid and he put the bat side ways against the kids neck and started going bizerk on him. I was shocked. Some other people who were already walking towards the bus stop saw what he did and started yelling at him and told him to stop. He stopped and glared at them. The poor kid started to cry. I came rushing to him because that got me pissed, but i was more concern about his safety. I asked if he was okay and if he was hurt. He said that he was fine and that the only reason it didn’t hurt is because he had it in his hands so there was no pressure against his neck. He was just scared because he didn’t do anything and he got attacked. I was like damn. I was like is he like retarded or something and the poor kid replied saying yes. I guess the kid with the bat have a brother that told the poor kid that he had a slow mind or whatever. I was like still, I got a little brother who is mentally slow, but don’t do violence. Either way i was mad. the bus came and I started to aboard onto it. All of the sudden the kid with the bat had no bat and he got jumped. and they left him alone after he went bizerk.

I just never saw this shit on display infront of me in reality.
